Symptoms

On 10.2.0.4 in Production:

the following error occurs:

ERROR
ORA-12012: error on auto execute of job 102774
ORA-00257: archiver error. Connect internal only, until freed.



Cause

Specific job that was not running which were receiving an error from was a document transfer job.It was running from another machine and was failing because the machine it was running from had run out of flash recovery area.

The most likely cause of this message is the destination is out of space to store the redo log file, in this case it just took some time to investigate the issue as it was related to a specific job that was running from another machine.



Solution

Freeing some more space there by either clearing the space or adding more space.
